Cutie1 Evangelion EVA 01 Awakening Figure: What to Expect

Quick answer

Buy the Cutie1 Evangelion EVA-01 Awakening Version if you want a compact, stylized chibi figure with recognizable Awakening details and a display-friendly 12 cm height. Skip it if you prefer screen-accurate proportions or large-scale centerpieces.

Chibi style is the main trade-off

The Cutie1 line reimagines EVA-01 in a cute, compressed form. That means the silhouette is rounder and less mechanical than a standard scale figure. If you love the contrast of a fearsome mecha in an adorable shape, this is the appeal. If you want a realistic Evangelion replica, the stylization will feel like a compromise.

Because the design is intentionally simplified, fine panel lines and inner-frame details are not the focus. The Awakening-specific elements—halo, angel core, and A.T. Field arm—are what make this version stand out within the chibi format.

Size and material: what the listing tells you and what it doesn’t

The figure stands 12 cm (about 4.7 inches) tall. That is small enough for a desk, a crowded shelf, or a bookshelf cubby, but large enough to read the Awakening details. It will not dominate a display the way a 1/6 or 1/4 scale statue does.

The supplied catalog does not specify the material or articulation. Treat that as a decision limitation: if material feel or posability is critical to you, ask the store for confirmation before ordering. For a chibi collectible, most buyers prioritize look and shelf fit over articulation.

Price positioning and the comparison price

The catalog price is USD 178.10, with a comparison price of USD 291.96. A comparison price can help you judge relative value, but it is not a guarantee of future pricing. Decide based on the current price you would actually pay and how much the chibi style matters to you.

If your budget is tight, a smaller or simpler Evangelion item may satisfy the collection itch. If you specifically want the Awakening look in a compact format, this figure is aimed at that niche.

Decision rules for buying the Cutie1 EVA-01 Awakening

• Shelf space under 20 cm: Choose this figure if your display area is tight and you want a recognizable EVA-01 without a large footprint. Measure your shelf depth and height before ordering.
• You want screen-accurate proportions: Skip this chibi version and look for a standard scale Evangelion figure instead.
• Awakening details matter most: Pick this version if the halo, angel core, and A.T. Field arm are the elements you want to show off.
• Material or articulation is a must: Ask the store for material and articulation details before buying, since the catalog does not list them. Get written confirmation if posability is essential.
• Budget check: Compare the current USD 178.10 price against your overall figure budget; the USD 291.96 comparison price is reference only.
