For collectors, finding a figure that captures the essence of this Fighting/Steel-type is a quest in itself. Enter the Lucario Funism figure, a highly anticipated release that promises to deliver both style and substance. In this review, we'll take a close look at its quality, detailing, and overall display appeal to help you decide if it's worth adding to your collection.

Funism has built a reputation for producing dynamic and affordable figures, and their Pokemon line is no exception. This Lucario figure stands out with its dynamic pose and intricate sculpt. But does it live up to the hype? We'll examine every aspect, from the paint application to the base, to give you an honest assessment. Whether you're a seasoned collector or just starting, this review will provide valuable insights into what makes this figure a potential must-have.

First Impressions: Unboxing the Lucario Funism Figure

The packaging is sleek and collector-friendly, featuring a clear window that showcases the figure's dynamic pose. Inside, the figure is securely held in place with plastic trays, ensuring it arrives in pristine condition. The base is simple but effective, with a clear plastic stand that keeps the figure balanced without distracting from the sculpt.

Upon first touch, the figure feels solid and well-made. The PVC material has a nice weight to it, giving it a premium feel that belies its price point. The pose is dynamic, with Lucario mid-attack, its aura energy swirling around its paws. This instantly sets the tone for a figure that's designed for action and display.

Sculpt and Detailing: A Closer Look

The sculpt is where this figure truly shines. Every muscle and contour of Lucario's body is carefully rendered, from the defined chest to the sharp spikes on its head. The aura effect around its paws is particularly impressive, with a translucent blue plastic that captures light beautifully. The face is expressive, capturing Lucario's fierce yet focused expression.

The paint application is clean and precise, with no noticeable overspray or bleeding. The blue and black color scheme is faithfully reproduced, with subtle shading that adds depth. The eyes are sharp and vibrant, a crucial detail for any Pokemon figure. Even the small details, like the paw pads and the spikes on the back of its head, are meticulously painted.

• Check for any paint imperfections under bright light, as some units may have minor flaws.
• The aura effect pieces are detachable, allowing for versatile display options.

Pose and Articulation: Display Versatility

Unlike many static figures, the Lucario Funism figure offers a surprising amount of articulation. The arms, legs, and tail are all jointed, allowing you to adjust the pose to your liking. However, the default dynamic pose is so well-executed that you might not want to change it. The joints are tight and hold their position well, without any wobbling.

The figure comes with a clear display stand that connects to the back, providing additional support for more dynamic poses. This is especially useful if you want to recreate Lucario's signature moves, like Aura Sphere or Bone Rush. The stand is unobtrusive and doesn't detract from the overall appearance.

Quality and Durability: Built to Last

The quality of the Lucario Funism figure is impressive, especially considering its price point. The PVC material is sturdy and resistant to warping, and the paint is durable enough to withstand regular handling. The joints are designed to withstand repeated posing without becoming loose, ensuring that your figure will look great for years to come.

One minor concern is the aura effect pieces, which are thin and could potentially break if handled too roughly. However, they are securely attached and should be fine as long as you're careful. Overall, this figure is built to last and offers excellent value for money.

Display Value: How It Looks on Your Shelf

When it comes to display, the Lucario Funism figure is a standout. Its dynamic pose and vibrant colors make it a focal point of any collection. Whether you place it on a desk, shelf, or in a display case, it's sure to draw attention. The figure pairs well with other Pokemon figures, and its scale is consistent with other Funism releases, making it easy to create a cohesive display.

For those looking to expand their Pokemon collection, this figure is a great addition. It also makes an excellent gift for any Pokemon fan. If you're a fan of Lucario, this is a must-have.
